HOME is New York City's original farm-to-table restaurant, established in 1993.  Our mission is to provide a sustainable dining experience in the West Village.  Dedicated to showcasing the abundance of locally raised and produced products from our own agriculturally rich and diverse region; we also believe in supporting the local businesses and artisans within Greenwich Village and New York City.


At HOME Restaurant, you will find an unpretentious, modern, yet comfortable atmosphere and a culinary team, led by Chef Alexandre Ange. He was born in Paris, France and raised with a taste for impeccable ingredients, spending much time in Sologne, growing and hunting for fresh food. At 15, he moved to New York City where he developed an interest in the extensive culinary arts opportunities the city offered. By 17 he was working in kitchens around the city and at 21 he was invited to return to France to stage with Joel Robuchon. His talents have led him to work for some of the elite forces in the culinary industry – including Thomas Keller and Phillipe Tessier at Bouchon and the French Laundry; Joshua Skenes at Saison; and Daniel Boulud at Daniel.  It is a source of pride to support local New York and New Jersey farms and artisanal businesses, whose hard work and dedication produce the superior ingredients that are the backbone of HOME's, seasonal American menu.

As a compliment to the menu, the wine and cocktail program at HOME Restaurant is also a study in handcrafted spirits alongside the largest selection of New York wines in the city.  Our Wine Director, Nathaniel Hunter, has enjoyed seeing the remarkable quality coming out of New York today and we are proud to offer the best of the Finger lakes, Hudson Valley and the North Fork of Long Island. HOME Restaurant also boasts a generous selection of cocktails made with HOME made infusions and wonderful small batch and artisanal spirits.

At HOME Restaurant, it is our belief that by supporting our culinary community, of which we are truly proud to be a member, not only are we helping to keep West Greenwich Village a thriving dining destination, we are also providing an exceptional dining experience to each and every person who comes through our door.
